Community Roots, Porthtowan

Red Planning worked with Community Roots to get planning permission for the construction of an Agricultural Building at Mount Pleasant Ecological Park in Porthtowan.

Community Roots already used the land adjacent to the application site for growing a wide range of fruit and veg which is then sold to the local community but required additional space to support their operation.

The proposal included a sustainable single storey pitched roof agricultural ‘barn style’ building with associated access track, parking, and cycle storage, which would be used mainly for the storage and preparation of produce with an office, welfare and plant room.

The application was granted permission, enabling Community Roots to expand.
